Privacy Policy
1. General
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), every person is entitled to the protection of their privacy and to protection against the misuse of their personal data. I take the protection of your data very seriously, treat your personal data confidentially, and comply with the statutory data protection provisions and with this privacy policy.
Together with my hosting provider, I endeavor to protect the databases as well as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and falsification.
Please note that data transmission over the internet, for example when communicating by email, may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
This website can be visited without registration. When you access it, data such as the page or file requested and the date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes, without my being able to assign this data to a specific person. Personal data such as name, address, or email address is collected only if you provide it voluntarily, for example when contacting me. I do not pass on this data to third parties without your express consent.
2. Responsible Person
The person responsible for data processing on this website is:
Árpád Ferencz, Hintere Hauptgasse 17, 4800 Zofingen, Switzerland
Email: info@theologe-arpad-ferencz.ch
You may contact me directly with any data protection concerns.
3. Processing of Personal Data
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. Processing means any handling of such data, in particular collecting, storing, retaining, using, modifying, disclosing, archiving, and deleting.
I process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, I rely on Art. 6(1) GDPR, in particular on:
- point (a): your consent,
- point (b): the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures,
- point (c): compliance with a legal obligation,
- point (f): my legitimate interests, in particular the operation and secure provision of this website, information security, and the enforcement of my own legal claims.
I process personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. Where statutory retention obligations exist, I restrict processing accordingly.
4. Cookies
This website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device while you use the website. They can serve to make the website functional and user-friendly. Cookies may be stored beyond the end of the browser session and retrieved again on a later visit.
You can set your browser so that it does not accept cookies or deletes existing cookies. In that case, not all functions of the website may be available.
5. SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect confidential content, such as inquiries you send to me, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser begins with “https://” and a padlock symbol is displayed. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.
6. Server Log Files
The hosting provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits. These are:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- hostname of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons and is not merged with other data sources. I reserve the right to review it retrospectively if concrete indications of unlawful use become known.
7. Your Rights
Within the framework of applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- request information on whether and which personal data I process about you, and to receive a copy of this information. The information is free of charge. Where possible, it also includes the purpose, categories, recipients, storage period, and origin of the data, as well as details of any transfer abroad;
- request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data;
- request the deletion of your data, provided there is no legal reason for further retention;
- request the restriction of processing;
- receive your data in a common, machine-readable format or have it transferred to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible (data release and portability);
- object to the processing of your data;
- withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future;
- lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
To exercise your rights, please write to me at the email address given above. I may request proof of your identity beforehand.
8. Google Fonts
For the uniform display of fonts, this website uses web fonts from Google. When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts into its cache. In doing so, a connection to Google servers is established, and Google thereby receives your IP address. If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font is used.
Further information can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
9. Disclaimer
I accept no liability for the correctness, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and completeness of the information on this website. Liability claims for damages of a material or immaterial nature arising from access to or use or non-use of the published information, from misuse of the connection, or from technical faults are excluded.
All offers are non-binding. I expressly reserve the right to modify, supplement, or delete parts of the pages or the entire offering without special notice, or to discontinue publication temporarily or permanently.
